Michelle Green graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2000 and has since worked in multiple settings including: private and public hospital sectors, private practice general and sporting, military and heavy industry including underground mining, oil and gas and iron ore. As part of the Biosymm team she now works primarily as an onsite Physiotherapist for Rio Tinto servicing Tom Price, Western Turner and Marandoo Iron Ore sites.
Her career has taken her around the globe working in Australia, New Zealand, England, Scotland, Wales and Germany along with touring to several other countries while on tour with dance troupes.
At this point of her career Michelle has a passion for occupational health and identifying potential risks for injury and identifying needs for strength and conditioning of individuals or the need for modifying work environments to eliminate or minimise risks to ensure the safety of individuals. She has a strong passion for individual empowerment through providing education and self-awareness relevant to each individual and the environment they are in.
She is a member of the Occupational Health group of the APA and has further occupational health qualifications including Cert IV in OH& S, Cert IV in TAE, Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator, People Based Safety , Workhab. She also adds qualification as a fully trained Pilates instructor, Functional Strength & Sports Conditioning and Deep Needling Level 1 & 2 to her repertoire of treatment skills.
She has a love of water sports both on top of and underneath the water and is a teacher and trainer in Highland and Irish Dancing in her spare time.
